33 weeks

Well my midwife appointment got cancelled today due to another birth she had to go to. So no update here!!
Tomorrow I am a 33 weeks! According to Baby center.com . . . . .
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark. Its rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and its skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal.

I have been feeling a butt and little feet pressing up against my belly the last few days. Its really getting intense when the baby presses it on my belly. Almost uncomfortable. I am also feeling alot of pressure on my hips/pelvic bones when I sit for very long. Last night in church I thought I was going to have to get up and go out I felt so much pressure. Not sure if that means the baby is farther down the pelvis or what?

In other news-
We FINALLY tore the carpet out of my kitchen! We bought ceramic tile to put down in January when it was on sale and just now got around to starting it. The carpet was so nasty! When we tore the carpet out we found linoleum under it so we ripped it out too. Now this week we have been working on getting the extra glue/backing off the floor that was left from the linoleum and friday we are starting to lay the tile down! Hopefully by Monday evening it will all be done!
Before Photo- Isnt it nasty? Whoever put carpet in a kitchen is dumb!!
What we found under the carpet. . . . . .
What it looks like right now- still trying to get all the white glue gunk up!

Another HUGE project on my to do list getting crossed off! Yay!

32 weeks

By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, it will gain a third to half of its birth weight during the next 7 weeks as it fattens up for survival outside the womb. It now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Its skin is becoming soft and smooth as it plumps up in preparation for birth.

*Baby is doing lots of moving the last week. The other day it was almost a constant movement all day long. The midwife confirmed the head is down and the feet are up but the butt is moving back and forth from side to side. Last night we could see it moving across the middle of my belly.

*Sleep is becoming a thing of the past for me. I sleep on and off all night and toss and turn the rest of the night. Mostly from having to switch from side to side every hour or so to keep from getting sore on the side I am sleeping on.

*I got almost all of my birth supplies that the midwife asked for in the nursery ready to go! Makes me feel a little more prepared now! I have a few things to pick up yet but for the most part its all here!

*Next midwife appointment is monday (a week from today)

*I gained about 6# in the last week and a half which isnt bad I guess since I havent really gained much the whole pregnancy yet.

The week & Baby

Well our week has been quite eventful. On Monday was my midwife appointment (which I already posted about) so glad everything is looking good. I do feel better knowing that the head is down. It also makes sense why I feel so much pressure on my hips the last few days too. After my appointment my cousin and I went shopping for some wedding gifts for another cousin that is getting married this weekend and could not find what we were looking for in Washington or Jasper. So monday evening we made a quick trip to E-ville and finally found something at Macys.
My Phone has been having issues with the screen having lines through it for months now but I could still read it and use it so I just let it go. Tuesday it decided to start scrolling the lines so we called the cell phone store and they said to bring it in. Thankfully its still under warranty so they are having a new one shipped to me. Unfortunetly I still dont have it. Its on the Fed Ex truck now being delivered it says but still not here. Dont you love how the tracking will say "will be delivered between 8am and 7pm". . great, that really narrows it down for me! Plus I have to sign for the package and they wont just leave it so I have to be here. So much for my grocery shopping today! Im glad we went ahead to the cell store when we did though because yesterday afternoon then my screen went completely black and I cant see anything! I've been relying on my email and facebook to keep in touch with people since we dont have a land line phone. Thank God this didnt happen when I was closer to delivery time for baby! Talk about nervous!
Yesterday I started nesting apparantly. I have had like no energy and all the sudden yesterday I decided to wash the walls down in our bedroom. Looks much better now! Today since Im stuck here waiting on the FedEx man I have been pulling out couches and the entertainments center and washing behind them all, cleaning the trim and everything. Smells much cleaner in here now!
We finally got our house painted! We started it in March and had soo much rain all summer that we werent able to work on it much. Last saturday we worked all day and got it finished! A huge thing to mark off my to do list!

All done!

31 weeks & Baby Appointment Update

Well tomorrow is officially 31 weeks. I had a midwife appointment this afternoon and everything looks good. I am measuring 32 weeks. The baby is head down now (praise God!) and she said the head was pretty far down the pelvis already. Baby's heart rate was great, my blood pressure was great, my sugar levels, iron levels were all good. The midwife said she cant find a thing wrong with me at this point so woo hoo! Thats what I want to hear.

Baby Update

I was reading today and was curious as to what my baby looks like now at 30/ almost 31 weeks. So I started searching the internet and found this . . .

This is a baby that was born at 31 weeks. WOW. This is inside me right now. Puts a whole new perspective on it and makes it seem so much more real. This would explain why my stomach feels like its going to bust apart! Lol.
Good news is that I am about 80% sure that baby has flipped into the head down position! Which is good because I have a midwife appointment on monday and she said if baby hadnt flipped down yet that she would start trying to flip it. Today I am feeling some serious kicks near the top of my belly so thats why Im pretty sure the baby is feet up. Although yesterday I was getting serious punches on either side of my belly so either baby was laying sideways and kicking and punching with its hands at the same time or its quite the acrobat..lol
Next week I am going to order my birth supply kit so thats exciting. We should have it in a few weeks. And we ALMOST have the midwife completely paid! Its a huge relief to know thats almost taken care of. Hopefully this weekend we can finish painting the outside of our house and I have a friend coming to help me wash the outside of my cabinets and my windows and fans and stuff. Cant wait to have all that crossed off my to-do list.
Like I said I have a midwife appointment on monday so I will have more of a update on me and baby then.
*Oh and a great friend of mine offered to take maternity photos for me and we have that scheduled for Sept 1st. So be on the lookout after that for some photos. I am so excited!*

Pediatrician in Jasper

Does anyone have any recommendations for a pediatrician in Jasper? I have heard good things about Norma Kreilein and I heard that a new pediatrician is starting in Jasper now as of the first of august. Dr. Jill Smith? Anyone heard anything about her? I am planning to breastfeed, cloth diaper and of course am doing a homebirth so I would like to have a pedi that is ok with all that. Any suggestions?

30 weeks

Me and Baby Belly @ 30 weeks!!
Tomorrow marks 30 weeks pregnant. 10 weeks til D-Day! Lol We are getting more and more excited to meet the little one. Last week I ordered my birth pool supplies and we blew up my birth pool and did a trial run to see how long it took to air it up and fill it with water. The whole process only took about 30 minutes.
New developments in the last week- - -
* Baby had Hiccups for the first time that I could feel them yesterday
* Baby either dropped a little or is sitting lower because I am starting to feel alot more hip pain and pressure then before.
* Sleep is getting harder and harder for me to get. I toss and turn alot trying to get comfortable.
* Belly button is still a innie! :-)
* We decided on the spelling of the baby name officially now :-)

1-1/2 dozen balls of frozen chocolate chip cookie dough
2 dozen balls of frozen chocolate cookie dough with reeses pieces
1 dozen banana muffins
4 qt ziploc bags of Chicken soup

Tomorrow I plan to make some baked spaghetti dishes since our pastors wife gave me a bunch of spaghetti noodles the other day that i need to be cooking up and using.
Eventually in the next few weeks I hope to add frozen homemade pizza, chicken pot pie, chili soup, taco soup, chicken tortilla bake & some blueberry muffins. I am thinking about trying to do some homemade waffles but not sure how they will thaw in the toaster??

29 Weeks

11 weeks to go. . . . Im getting thankful that its about over. Not that I dont love being pregnant, but its starting to get uncomfortable. I really dont have many complaints about being umcomfortable until now. I think the baby is rotating in their and Im starting to feel alot of pressure in my lower belly and my back is starting to ache alot. Last night was the first night I actually had alot of problems sleeping. I tossed and turned until about 7 this morning then got up and came out on the couch and tossed and turned some more until about 11. I just could not sleep. Now I feel like a walking zombie but the laundry needs to be done and the house needs to get cleaned up a bit.
One more week of Child birth class to go too! I love the class and everyone in it but the 1-1/2 hour drive every saturday morning is getting old so Ill be glad when saturdays are normal again.
Over the weekend my cousin was here again and my sister came down and stayed here. Lots of good times. Chadd was gone yesterday to the Rock the River tour in St Louis so we had a girls day. Saw the movie "The Proposal". Great movie! I laughed so hard.

Eating Yummy Mudslides. . . Soooooo good!
