Other families

Ok so this is going to be a "deep" post. Lol. On one of my mommy chat boards I frequent there was a thread started today about the Duggar Family. Now there is alot of controversy about the Duggars. Some of the main issues people have with them are
-They have too many kids, they cant possibly be a good parent to them all
- They dont use cloth diapers, think of all the disposable diapers in the land fill (Come on- would you really want to add 2 or 3 kids in cloth diapers laundry to the already crazy laundry schedule they must have? Yeah Im all for cloth diapers but I can totally see why they wouldnt want to!)
- They use styrofoam cups and drink *gasp* sodas!!
- They use forms of discipline (Most of my mommy boards are very much against any form of discipline. I totally disagree but I keep that to myself)

So I just have to say that honestly I think people that bash other families, Duggar family included are just childish. I mean who is to say that one way of living is right for every family? I have a friend that lives in a yurt, has no running water, no electricity, veggie oil car instead of gas. . . etc. . .Now that way of living is not for me but who am I to say that she shouldnt live that way if she wants to? She is very happy so who is to say it doesnt work for her family? Then I have family and friends that use disposable diapers, dont make there own laundry soap, use alot of paper products . . .etc. And Who am I to say that they are living bad? Thats what works for them and so more power to them. I cant understand why so many people think that there way of living and parenting is the only way. Im sure there are people that think my way of parenting is not right, thats fine, it works for us! I have some people that are giving me crazy looks cause I said Im working on weaning Kianna slowly, one feeding at a time for the next 2 months.Well, breast feeding til they are 2 or 3 might work for some people but not me.
Oh well. All I can say now is I think the duggars are very sweet family. Yes they may do things that some people think is crazy and this day in age having 19 kids is considered insane but they are happy so who cares?

Dr App Update and Ki pictures

Well the Dr's office called yesterday around 4:30 and said the results all came back and one of my levels were high and they wanted me to go to the hospital and get a CT scan right away. So off I went back to the hospital. I was very unprepared and had no idea what to expect. Within 1/2 hour of the CT scan my Dr himself called me and said it was all clear. Thank God. He prescribed me a inhaler for now to see if it helps my breathing and then we will go from there if it isnt helping. Needless to say yesterday was a very trying day for me, so many test and possible problems and then none of them ended up being whats wrong with me. Im thankful that everything came back normal but also a little concerned yet that the Dr hasnt been able to find anything that is causing this. However I did notice after using the inhaler last night before bed I slept really well and today I was able to breath a bit better. I still felt short of breath at one point but Im going to give myself a week or so to see if it gets better. I was suprised it wasnt anemia. I am going to pick up the blood work results tomorrow at the Dr so I can see for myself what my Iron/hemaglobin levels are, I still think I maybe slighly low.

Tonight we took Ki to the park since it was so cool. She loved the slide this time, she laughed everytime we went down it. She is such a people person. She just sit in the swing and watched everybody.

And last- A video of Ki last week. She keeps yelling "Bob" and I have no idea where she got it from. We dont know any bobs. .

Dr appointment

I had a Dr appointment today with my Dr and the results of the EKG were normal. The 24 hour Holter monitor showed my heart rate got up to 130 one time but it wasnt anything to serious. So now I had a chest x ray done today and blood work to check for blood clots in my lung and also for anemia. The Dr says he thinks anemia could be the problem. It can cause shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, fatigue. . . We should have the results back tonight.
Anemia makes so much more sense then a arythmia. When I had Kianna I lost alot of blood and I dont know if I ever really built my blood back up after that. I took a Iron supplement for a few weeks but maybe it wasnt enough.

10 months Old & Heart Appointment

Kianna Brielle is 10 months old!!! At 10 Months old she. . . . .

-Is taking steps. She walks 4 or 5 steps before dropping. She has figured out that if she turns her toyboxes over and pushes them around while standing she can get around faster then walking alone.
-Is SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!! Finally. She occasionally gets up around 4 or 5 in the morning and eats but not every night anymore.
-Loves to be outside and swing!
-She knows the dog goes "oof oof" and the kitty goes "yow yow"
-Also says "Dada" sometimes
-Only nurses 3 or 4 times a day now. She is almost totally on solid foods.
-She is doing much better at Riding in her car seat. She doesnt cry alot of the time now and if she has her blankie and binky she is pretty much fine.

In other not so fun news-
I had my appointment this morning for my ECHO on my heart and to get the 24 hour monitor on. We had to be at the hospital at 7am to register. Chadd went with me and we took Ki too. She did so well! She had all the nurses and ladies at the registration desk in love with her. Anyways, My Echo was at 7:30. Its pretty much a ultrasound of your heart instead of your belly like when your pregnant. Took her about 35 minutes to do it. She said everything looks great. Then they put the holter monitor on me. I have strings going all over my chest. The tape they stuck the electrodes on with itches but I cant take it off. I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow around 7am to take it off. Im very calm through it all though which suprises me. Usually when I have to go to the hospital I am a nervous wreck but this morning I was calm. Im thankful for that!

Prayers please

Today I had a spell where my heart started racing and I felt shaky. I called Chadd and had him come home, he called our family dr and he was out of the office today so we went to the Urgent care center. By the time we got to the urgent care and got called back my heart rate was 108. Normal is in the 80s. BUT my heart was slowed back down by then, Chadd tried to check my heart rate when he got home and he said he thinks it was around 130. The Urgent care Dr said that 150-160s is when they worry. The Dr thinks its Tachy (Trachy?)Arythmia, or in non fancy terms - fast heart rate or irregular heart rate. He said its nothing he is too concerned about right now, he did however schedule me for a EKG on wednesday morning and then after the EKG I am getting a heart monitor put on for 24 hours. If they cant get any readings in 24 hours they will put a 30 day monitor on. The Dr said its not usually something to harmful, its just annoying when it happens. He also said that it usually comes on fast but takes hours to slow back down to normal. They said no caffeine or alot of sweets. They also said my cholesterol was slighly elevated so Im not supposed to have fatty foods, alot of red meats, fried foods, Chips, cookies. . . . .
Please just keep me in your prayers over the next week or so. If I have another spell before wednesday when I get the monitor put on then Im supposed to head to the ER at the hospital and have them monitor it while its happening. My app is Wed @ 7:30am at Jasper Memorial.

Nothing interesting

So nothing interesting is going on lately which is why I havent updated. Our banker did say that she is expecting the loan papers to be ready any day then we can sign it! Yay! Im trying to be patient but I am just so ready for it to be done. I cant wait for a NEW MASTER BEDROOM and most of all a MASTER BATH!! I guess the carport will be nice too ;-) And a fenced in back yard! No more chains for the dogs everytime they need to go out! Just open the back door and let them run.
The biggest news is Kianna is standing on her own! She tries to walk but only gets 1 step. Any day now she will take off then oh Lord! Any suggestions on running shoes? lol

Oh and more good news- My dentist bill that was unexpected is totally paid off now!!! And Chadds truck broke down last week and we had to take it to the mechanic shop and he estimated $400-$500 to fix it, well turns out it wasnt what he thought was wrong and it was a very simple fix!! We paid $35!!! How awesome is that?? I was very concerned about how we were going to pay for the truck but praise God I didnt have to! Now as long as nothing else comes up between now and december we should be right on track to get new tires on my car, replace the windshield in my car (stupid coal truck!) and start saving back to buy a new truck for Chadd. Yay!
