I can not believe my birthday is tomorrow! So unreal. I cant believe Im going to be 23, I do not feel that old. (not saying anyone over 23 is old, just saying I cant believe Im 23 already!) Seems like just yesterday I was 18!! Crazy crazy! I think maybe its harder for me to realize how old Im getting when I still have people all the time ask me why Im not at school! ha ha! Thank you but I graduated 5 years ago! The crazy thing is my sister who is 6 years younger then me had a cashier at walmart the other day say "did mommy get you a new ball?" to the little girl she was babysitting. . lol. Shelly was sure to tell the lady she was just babysitting. I told Chadd Im sure whenever we go out with Ki now that people are thinking he was a cradle robber! Lol Anyways, my mom ,sister, Ki and I are going to Edinburgh shopping tomorrow. Hopefully it wont rain all day! The weather says its suppose to but maybe it will stop. In other news, not so exciting- I have been sick for 2 weeks now and the first week I just thought it was a cold so I was just taking cold meds. Well it didnt get any better even after TONS of Vitamin C and Tylenol Cold. Then Thursday evening I started getting a headache but didnt think much of it. Went to bed and woke up Friday with a HORRIBLE throbbing head. I took tylenol and it helped a little but not much. Friday night went to bed and could not sleep the pain was only on one side of my face and really throbbing in my sinuses (around my eyes, cheekbones, temples) Saturday is wasnt any better so Chadd made me go to Urgent care. We waited over a hour to get in but thankfully it didnt take long once we were there. Turns out I have a sinus infection, so Im now on antibiodics and nasal sprays. I am feeling SOO much better already. The antibiodics makes my stomach hurt if I take the full dosage so Im taking 1/2 dose and Im doing ok. We have a open house for our house again this coming sunday so PLEASE pray we can sell it. We would love to be able to get our asking price out of it so we can move on!!
Yesterday was Kianna's 6 month check up with Dr K. She weighs 13'15 and was 25-1/2'' long! She is down in weight a bit but Dr K said since she is moving so much now and she also shows signs of a high metabolism so its normal.
Praise Baby is my best friend right now!! They are DVDs with praise songs playing and all kinds of stuff that plays on the screen. Like animals, babies playing, bubbles, numbers and letters. . Kinda like Baby Einsteins but WAY BETTER. I watched a baby einsteins movie with Ki and she hated it. She LOVES these. The Proof- We have these two- and they are both good. She can be SCREAMING and we put these on and as soon as she hears the menu music play she shuts right up. Its amazing. I dont know what it is about them but hey, if it gets me a few minutes of cleaning time during the day Im in LOVE. My cousin watched it with her a few weeks ago and said " Ok, so I dont understand how praise music playing with a cow on the screen will make your baby more Holy". ... Lol. Well, I dont know either but at least its praise music and you know they are absorbing some of this in there little minds so why not let it be something good?
**note- Ki does NOT sit in front of the tv all day watching movies. She watches these once a day maybe twice if she needs help settling down at bedtime. Im not a big advocate of babies watching tv but when your a mom and its 10am and you havent had a shower yet, well you will do anything to get a few moments!**
Thats how old Miss Kianna Brielle will be on Sunday. Can you believe it? 1/2 YEAR old already!!! Since I didnt take 5 month photos and I wasnt sure Ill get 6 month photos done I am going to say her easter photos are her "6 months" photos.
So some facts about 6 month old Ki- - - - She weighs around 15-1/2 to 16# right now. Not for sure since we dont have a digital scales. - Just switched her over to 6-9 month clothing. - Started CRAWLING already at 5.5 months old.
- Started pulling herself up into a standing position when holding onto something at 5 months,3 weeks old. - Loves to crawl all over the house now, Favorite things to get into are dogs food bowl, Bathroom trash can, Computer cords & Daddys shoes. - She is eating solid foods at Lunch and Supper now. Usually banana or applesauce at lunch and Sweet potatoes or Green beans at supper. - She hates avocados and Green peas.
Kianna all smiles playing with her Aunt Shelly "Pbbbbbt" The way she sits most of the time now, looks uncomfortable but whatever "Huh? What did you say?" Always into everything now that she is crawling. She loves her sweet "taters" Again, into everything!
I dont have much to say so I will just post a photo. . . . We have some big changes in our house right now but Ill let you all in on it in a few weeks, we have our house forsale but havent had any bites at all. So we are going a different route now I think. . . Anyways, Ill tell you all the rest later.
