In loving memory of Grandpa Wagler

I dont remember much about my grandpa since for the past couple years he has not been the same grandpa that we remember. But what I do remember is his laugh. And watching home videos of when I was baby brings back the memory of his laugh. I remember him always having a smile on his face, I remember how everytime we made homemade ice cream he had to eat the ice cream off the beater, I remember when they lived on the farm and putting up hay.
Im sad that my baby will never meet grandpa until heaven but I am thankful that grandpa is where he is in a much better place and no longer confined to a bed! I miss you Grandpa!

28 weeks

First of all- thank you to everyone who commented on the last post. I appreciate all the words of encouragement! I will add all of you to the list when I go private so you can continue to read. I will probably leave it open to public view for another week then I will go private. If anyone else reading this hasnt left me your email address to be added please comment here or the last post "going private" so I can add you.

2nd- Thank you everyone for your prayers over the weekend. As most of you know my Grandpa Wagler went to be with Jesus on wednesday evening. As hard as it was to see him go I honestly can say that I dont wish him back here at all! I know he is so much better off now. We had viewing on Friday evening, saturday most of the day and then sunday was the funeral. I think the hardest part of the funeral was seeing all my big normally macho uncles bawling their eyes out. I was doing fine until I saw my dad start crying during the service and that was it for me. I lost it. Please remember my Grandma in pray as I know this is hard on her. So many reminders of Grandpa in their house and Im sure its hard for her.

3rd- Tomorrow marks 28 weeks pregnant! I had a Dr Appointment with my backup OB dr in Bloomington last Thursday and everything looks good he said. I got back to bloomington tomorrow afternoon for some blood work to check my iron levels to make sure its all normal.
Today I had a midwife appointment and she said I couldnt be doing any better. Im healthy, baby is healthy, I havent gained a ton of weight, no gestational diabetes, Baby is measuring right on, heart rate was great, my blood pressure is great. . . She also did a urine sample test and their is no sign of the bladder infection anymore so praise god for that! (That and LOTS of cranberry juice) She did say that she is pretty sure the baby's head is up by my rib cage, not head down so she said I could start getting alot of pressure up high if the baby's head presses on my ribs or anything. She isnt worried about the baby not being head down yet since I still have 12 weeks to go its plenty of time for baby to flip and the baby is still doing complete flips that I can feel so its moving around yet. If the baby is not in the head down position at the next appointment in 3 weeks then she said we will start trying to flip the baby. So, Im not worried yet but just pray that baby decides to move head down before the next appointment!

Today has been spent doing lots of catching up. I had laundry and dishes coming out the wazoo! I used the last clean glass this morning and chadd was competely out of socks this morning. Last week was crazy then over the weekend we were gone most of the time so my house got left alone toooo long! Im paying for it today! Last tuesday we went to the Daviess county fair to see my sister and brother show 4-H Pigs, Wednesday we went to the Dubois County fair to see my brother in law's projects he had in 4-H, Thursday we went to my dr appointment in bloomington then went straight to Evansville to help my brother pull tractors (didnt get home til 1:30 in the morning either!) Friday we was at the viewing most of the afternoon and evening, Saturday morning was child birth class in Lousiville then back to the viewing for the rest of the day and yesterday was the funeral. Today I had to get groceries and my midwife appointment and tomorrow is my blood work in bloomington so come wednesday I am going to be sooo ready to stay home and catch up!

EDIT** at 28 weeks according to Babycenter.com

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds and measures 14.8 inches from the top of its head to her heels. It Can blink its eyes, which now sport lashes. With its eyesight developing, it may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. It's also developing billions of neurons in its brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

OK , I just realized that in 15 weeks OR LESS I will be a mom!! How crazy does that sound? I cant believe how fast time has gone and how soon I will be called mommy. 15 short weeks and everyone around me will be able to hold MY baby and feel it move. MY baby that I protected for 25 weeks already. Am I being Greedy? Maybe. On the other hand I cant wait to see my husband get to hold HIS baby and not just feel it kick from the outside. He will get to rock it to sleep at night and stay up when it decides to stay up at 1am. (Looking forward to this part!)
Such a HUGE step for me, at the beginning of the pregnancy In the midst of feeling nauseous and tired all the time and wondering to myself how will i EVER do this for 9 months? Now I look back and think wasnt that just yesterday?
And in case anyone was wondering, no Im not nervous about giving birth and labor. . .yet! Im suprising myself how calm I am about it. Guess the Bradley child birth classes are working??
Ask me again in oh. . . . 12 weeks?? Lol

25 weeks & Our vacation

Today is officially 25 weeks! I know I say this every week but I cant believe how fast time is going. Honestly even with all the heartburn & sore ankles and peeing constantly I have to say I love being pregnant! Ok I wont lie, the first few weeks with morning sickness wasnt fun and I could do without that again but otherwise I cant complain!
(an un-official 24.5 week photo)
I finally am gaining some weight! I was starting to worry since I havent really gained anything in a few weeks and I am still technically at my pre pregnancy weight. (I lost about 20# from morning sickness at the beginning so I am just now back up to my weight I was before I got pregnant) So hallelujah I have now gained 3# in the last week or so. That could be from being on vacation and eating alot too, lol. We are feeling alot of kicking. Chadd is even able to feel it now.

Our vacation to Indy went really well. The weather was so nice to be outside. Those 3# I gained probably had something to do with all this. . . . . .

We stopped in Edinburgh on the way to Indy and got some amazing deals on baby clothes!

Our hotel the first night had a pool in our room and it felt sooo amazing after walking around all day! LB likes to swim too!

We went to the zoo one day, the weather was awesome and most of the animals were out.
Chadd touching a shark. He said it felt like sandpaper and I thought it felt like jelly. . Lol

We went mini golfing one night. I totally stunk at it! I think he beat me by 9 strokes! Thats not bad though, after the first 8 holes or so he was ahead of me by like 12 so it could have been worse!

My cheeser of a husband!

Before we left to come home we stopped at the canal's in Downtown Indy and walked them. There was a lot of people out but it was still nice.
