Your baby's waiting to greet the world! It continues to build a layer of fat to help control its body temperature after birth, but it's likely it already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, a mini watermelon. The outer layers of its skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.
My pregnancy status @ 39 weeks
* Belly went from measuring 37-1/2 cm last week to 34 cm this week which means baby dropped!
*Weight Gain is around 30# with most of that being gained the last 3 weeks.
*Midwife says babys head is WAY down and ready but she thinks the baby is sucking its thumb so its hand is by the face.
*3 Cm Dilated and almost fully effaced!!
*Lots of BH contractions and cramping the last 2 weeks. Starting to lost my appetite although Im starving hungry nothing sounds good.
And with labor fastly approaching and all the "unknown" lying ahead of me yet the last week my mind has been holding onto this verse:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil. 4:13
And did you know in the bible it says 365 times DO NOT FEAR. I didnt know that until I started reading!
